face to face We trade as MintFirsts Ltd, a company registered in England. George is a long time member of ABA, ILAB and PBFA. We duly abide by their codes of practice, and proudly observe the highest professional standards. The authenticity of all material offered for sale is guaranteed. Every item is accurately described in expert detail; any defects or restorations are clearly highlighted. We work hard to help buyers make informed decisions.
Οrders are generally processed within 2 weekdays, with delivery taking a further 3–8 working days, anywhere in the world. The shipping cost depends on weight, value and destination: free for high value orders, it is displayed half way through the checkout process, when the destination becomes known. Parcels travel fully insured. Books are bubble-wrapped and placed in a cardboard box or cushioned envelope, so that packages arrive in the condition they leave us.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners, Discover, Elo, UnionPay, as well as bank transfers in pounds sterling, euros, plus American, Canadian, Australian, New Zealand and Singapore dollars. Other payment methods may be made available upon special request, subject to a small service fee. Deferred billing can be arranged for libraries and institutions. Bona fide booksellers are welcome to apply for a trade discount.
Whilst we only display images of the actual books we stock, these are meant to be merely indicative of an item's condition, which is definitively detailed in its description. We cannot guarantee that any item sold will correspond to the images displayed on the website – even though this will be true in the vast majority of cases.
All orders are shipped from Greece. This means that book deliveries to both UK and EU destinations will be tax free, Brexit notwithstanding. Other sales may be subject to import duties and taxes, levied at local customs offices. Any such charges are the buyer's own responsibility. As import tariffs vary from country to country, we can neither advise nor compensate for such costs. Customs clearance may also affect delivery times, even where no charge is involved.
Consumers have a legal right to cancel purchases. For a package to be returned, we must be notified by e-mail within 14 days of receipt. The goods have to then be returned within 14 days, at the buyer's expense. A full refund will be issued as soon as we inspect the returned order. Items obtained by booksellers at a trade discount may only be returned in exceptional circumstances.
