Hope's second book and the first to be published outside Australia. Contains a generous selection from the author's debut collection of poetry The Wandering Islands (1955), together with many poems hitherto unpublished. U.S. edition, by Viking Press, followed in 1961 utilizing British sheets.

Review copy, with publisher's slip eliciting a critique from The Listener, laid-in. Dustwrapper spine lightly toned, back panel faintly soiled, else a very fresh copy.
