First edition. Slim 8vo. Pp. [viii], 24, [4]. Sewn, grey printed wraps with integral flaps (priced at 12s 6d net on the front flap). Erratum slip laid-in. The trade issue, printed at the Daedalus Press, 30 July 1968. 1/450 copies issued May 1970, out of a total edition of 1700, comprising the 200 leather-bound, signed copies, and the 1050 jacketless copies released concurrently in 1968.
Author's first collection of poetry. Selected by Alan Clodd from work published in little-circulated magazines during the 1950s, it includes 10 poems previously unpublished in any form together with an early fragment of dialogue, "Kullus", dating from 1949. The periodicals referred to include Poetry Quarterly, Poetry London, New Poems 1957, The Twentieth Century, The Window, The Glass, The Observer, and The Literary Supplement.
