Tight and clean internally.
Author's first selection of his Scots poetry. A prolific poet in his own right and an indefatigable champion of Scottish poetry throughout his long life, Lindsay's crowning achievement was the publication in 2005 of The Edinburgh Book of Twentieth-century Scottish Poetry (co-edited with Lesley Duncan). That anthology had evolved through numerous revised and expanded editions from his 1946 Modern Scottish Poetry: An Anthology of the Scottish Renaissance, 1920–1945, which helped introduce to an international post-war readership the work of Hugh MacDiarmid, Sorley MacLean, W.S. Graham, and Norman MacCaig.
