Revised version issued as a playscript and theatre programme on the occasion of the play's revival in October 1995 at the Duke of York's Theatre in the West End. It starred Tony Doyle, Rufus Sewell, Pearce Quigley, and John Castle, in a production directed by Stephen Daldry. The original 1984 production, directed by Max Stafford Clark, garnered Brian Cox the 1984 Olivier award for Best Actor in a New Play. It further starred Colum Convey, Philip Jackson, and Gary Oldman.
