Sixty-one collected sonnets rendered into Spanish by one of México's foremost poets, Pura López Colomé, in twin versions: one in poetic prose, and one in poetry, en face with the originals. Some 15 of the translations were done in the course of López Colomé's previous translation of four Heaney collections, whilst the rest were completed for this volume. Interspersed throughout his oeuvre, from his first collected sonnet in The Door into the Dark ("The Forge") to the last in District and Circle ("Polish Sleepers"), no solo edition of Heaney's sonnets exists in English. Launched in Dublin on 6 April 2009, the collection had a limited distribution in the Anglophone world.
En el presente volumen, el lector hallará reunidos, por primera vez, todos los sonetos de Seamus Heaney, premio nobel de literatura 1995, tanto en la lengua que fueron escritos, como traducidos al español en doble versión. [Text in English and Spanish].
