Simon Armitage
Paperback original. 8vo. Pictorial wraps, as issued. Photographic stills by Colin Clarke and Chris Sugden-Smith.

Author's third full collection of poetry. A poem-film written for the BBC2 TV series 'Words on Film', and focusing on the demolition of a housing estate in Rochdale. Assisted by contributions from the last surviving tenants, Armitage used his experience as a probation officer to imbue his language with a political and angry vernacular. Directed by Kim Flitcroft and presented by the author, the thirty-minute film was broadcast in June 1992.
